Origins by Jennifer Armentrout

Ok. Let me just say that Jennifer Armentrout is the QUEEN OF CLIFFHANGERS. At the end of this book I was flipping pages and saying to myself that this cannot be it!!! There are soo many things going on plot wise and I wish I could give a review and not give anything away so I will try to give you all a good clear review. So for a brief summary about Origins. After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure. All Katy can do is survive. Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen? Together, they can face anything. But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?

First of all FYI don't ever get in the way of Luxen when he is on the rampage. When you come in between him and his love...lets just say you might not live to make it out. I'm just putting that out there. This book was by far my favorite in the series after the first one. It was action past from the begging all the way to the end. There was never a dull moment. I absolutely loved Daemon in this book. The things he would do for his Lady are just amazing. No one I mean NOONE gets in the way of him going for what he wants.

Katy is his sanity and without her he will go crazy. She is his life and he proves how much he needs her. Katy also endures so much in this book. The longer Katy stays held by Daedalus she feels a piece of her being taken away. She has to go through so much and is basically tortured into doing what it is that they want her to do.

The love that Katy and Daemon share for each other really touches you to the core. Even though their love was tested they always have each other back and are there for each other. Their love is the only piece of normal or simplicity they have that actually keeps them sane during all of the havoc that is going on. The things that they do just to protect one another is just breathtaking. *Also they get some very much needed time together heheheheheh.

Overall this was a great book and I give it a 4.5 stars. THE SUCK PART IS THAT I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL NOVEMBER 2014 TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY MUST THIS HAPPEN!!!!!!!

The Mister Book Review

Goodreads synopsis:  London, 2019. Life has been easy for Maxim Trevelyan. With his good looks, aristocratic connections, and money, he’s never had to work and he’s rarely slept alone. But all that changes when tragedy strikes and Maxim inherits his family’s noble title, wealth, and estates, and all the responsibility that entails. It’s a role he’s not prepared for and one that he struggles to face.   But his biggest challenge is fighting his desire for an unexpected, enigmatic young woman who’s recently arrived in England, possessing little more than a dangerous and troublesome past.  Reticent, beautiful, and musically gifted, she’s an alluring mystery, and Maxim’s longing for her deepens into a passion that he’s never experienced and dares not name. Just who is Alessia Demachi? Can Maxim protect her from the malevolence that threatens her? And what will she do when she learns that he’s been hiding secrets of his own?   I will admit I did have some kind of salty feelings going int
