November Wrap up!!

For the month of November I read 5 books. I am so proud of myself because I knocked out some of my books that were sent to me for review.  I am currently 45 books towards my goal of 50. I plan on making that goal and more by the end of the month.

I was sent this ARC from Entangle teen and I loved it. I can't wait until the next one comes out in this series. Kori is a teenager that has trouble for a middle name. When her father goes on a away on military business he leaves two gentlemen with her so she stays out of trouble. With Cade and Noah comes danger as well as they embark on a mission that has everything to do with Kori's family that she did not know about. In addition to someone wanting her dead. This story has time travel and jumping different dimensions. If you liked A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray then I think you will like this as well

I read and reviewed this book as part of an audio book tour. This was my first audio review for a book. This story is about a guardian angle named Keiron who falls to try and save the life of a girl named Livvy. One of the reasons why I loved Livvy is because she is a librarian. The scene where she shows him the library is one of my favorites. I need that to happen to me. Literally. While Keiron is gone there is a war brewing in the mist of his absence back at home. He has to race against to time to save Livvy and stop a war. I loved this book. Anything with angles in it I'm a sucker for. This kind of reminded me of fallen and I loved that series. So if you like Fallen then you will like this one too. The narrator did a great job as well narrating this story.

I received this book by the publisher to review. I loved this and even though this was I think over 500 or close to 600 pages it felt like a quick read. I don't know if I was just so into it or what but I finished it in two days. Lacy has just woken up from a two month coma after a car accident. She has no memory of the last two years. She doesn't remember anybody that she has met within the last two years. Her two best friends? Nope Incredible hot boyfriend? Incredible hot new guy in my life that was already in my life? Nope. She doesn't tell anybody that she has no memory and hope that something will give her a spark for her memories to come back. What she can't believe the most is that she was a huge B**** in her school and just in life period. She can't process her self being that person but from what everyone is telling her. This has mean girls written all over it.

This is a book that I requested from Simon and Shuster for young readers. I was really excited to read this even though the reviews weren't that great but I decided to try it for myself. First this book had potential and I could see where it was going but I did have moments of confusion and I could not connect with the characters as much. Effigies are protectors of the world from phantom like creatures. There are four and they each control one of the elements. Once they become effigies they are for life until one of them dies and as fate will have it someone else is chosen. After the death of the fire effigie Maia is chosen as the next effigie and she sees that being apart of the world is so much more different than looking at it from the outside.

The author sent me this book for review and I will say that it was good but it was all over the place and there was some confusion. The topics that were discussed in the book brings to light the reality of it to the reader with child abuse, PTSD, and violence. It is an adult book but is told through the eyes of a child. It was a quick read but I would recommend that you take your time while reading it because you will be confused if you don't.

The Mister Book Review

Goodreads synopsis:  London, 2019. Life has been easy for Maxim Trevelyan. With his good looks, aristocratic connections, and money, he’s never had to work and he’s rarely slept alone. But all that changes when tragedy strikes and Maxim inherits his family’s noble title, wealth, and estates, and all the responsibility that entails. It’s a role he’s not prepared for and one that he struggles to face.   But his biggest challenge is fighting his desire for an unexpected, enigmatic young woman who’s recently arrived in England, possessing little more than a dangerous and troublesome past.  Reticent, beautiful, and musically gifted, she’s an alluring mystery, and Maxim’s longing for her deepens into a passion that he’s never experienced and dares not name. Just who is Alessia Demachi? Can Maxim protect her from the malevolence that threatens her? And what will she do when she learns that he’s been hiding secrets of his own?   I will admit I did have some kind of salty feelings going int
